New info in this... If not a virus scanner it might be the Windows SilentCleanup process deleting the Comet files. This is an optional feature that periodically removes files from %temp% that are not being used. Most of the Comet executables are spared because they are "in use" the entire time the user is running Comet. But some modules, like CosP and CosM32, are used and then released when they are done, leaving them vulnerable to this process. You will have to google how to check to see if SilentCleanup is implemented for your version of Windows.
