Many years ago we implemented a Windows environment variable that Comet will check to determine the location of its executable files. The variable is %COMETPROGS%. By default, it is set to %temp%, but you may set it to whatever you like. I haven't played with this in years, but feel free to try it out :-) You can add or change it thru Windows' Control Panel by searching for "System Environment Variables".
