Guru hunted thru the Sophos logs and found that "Country Blocking" was the culprit. No changes done by admin but Sophos is always getting security updates. Turned off for now.

Will try to hunt down exact country. Could the License Server be foreign?

I thought there was some "forgiveness" built into the license process. Nuked when Comet Services starts is painful. Better messaging would be nice.
