The answer to my problem was to use the printer DES program PFONTC in my Sysgen. Brian pointed me there and now things work perfectly. I had planed to include a link to the documentation on PFONTC in this posting so everyone could profit from my experience.
THERE IS NO DOCUMENTATION ON PFONTC ANYWHERE ON THIS SITE.
