Each pc had ALL USERS -- STARTUP programs pointing to N:\COSW /pn=[node]
When logging onto the network to our domain all is fine, but if you log in as [NODE]/admin this is when it can't find the shortcut as the network isn't connected directly in that mode and this is when the shortcut to Comet gets reset.
From your response, I think what is suggested is that the local logon also include a mapping to the server folder COMET.
PS. when shortcut is changed to \\server\d\comet\cosw.... it usually will not connect in local OR network logon.
Right now, it is not a problem as we have removed it from the start folder. Now, it only exists on the desktop for each user and thus only changes when WE CHANGE IT.
