Our mysterious ? and Windows printer problems have been resolved somehow in C2K5.xxx but the problem is it seems to require the workstation install on the PC regardless of C type directory status. This is disastrous for us. We can't install the workstation setup on up to 1000 computers remotely we really really need a way to automate this process.
If comet.exe or cosw.exe attempts to run and it senses that the workstation install has not been run on the PC it will exit w/o error and run an executable that you designate (i.e .\comet2004ws.exe)?
In our environment we would never create a comet icon on the desktop for the end user so that option can go away and we would always just do a network workstation install. I guess I am asking for a custom installshield package that doesn't ask any questions, it just does the ws install.
Or a paramater of /s after the comet2004workstation.exe launch that does it in silent mode and a /n for networked workstation? I am sure that your installshield package has this feature because we use the same thing.
Thanks in advance
