BArb, Well I dont know, it would appear to be a combination of the getglobal stuff and the screen size. I am running the test program straight from ready so there is nothing previous to get in the way. When I say "v" in the spooler it opens up an input rectangle for the rest of that line and waits, if I enter there then it crashes, at that point i can f3f10 and get out as I knopw it is going to crash.
This last bit may only be if the window is there and it cant display the right hand side of the screen, the job name stuff.
The global stuff is definitely related to it.
