Have you had any luck maintaining an existing .xls file from Comet? For example, I need to read through an Excel file, identify a specific record and change specific fields in that row. Currently I am doing it using the old DOS commands DOSFC, DOSRW, DOSMS. I was hoping for a cleaner solution. The .csv solutions seem to all create new files and don't really serve my purpose. If you have had success with this stuff perhaps you could email some examples.
