HELP please

I have a SET variable named YES defined in a program as 1. SET YES =1.
When I interogate it, it is not 1. It is /.
Please see attached screen capture from the debugger.
Notice that NO, set to 0, is correct.
The screen snap was taken just as the program started.
What else can I send you? Running Comet version 357
