Believe it or not, I have been struggling to get those video clips out to
everyone.
I have put a new server in our co location cabinet. The clips are on that
server, but I want to get them to be streaming, since it would take such a
long time to download them.
I am not very skilled at this.
I understand that I have to convert them to .wmv files. In order to
convert them, I downloaded the Microsoft windows media encoder. These
files seem to be mpeg2 files, so in order for the encoder to convert
them, I had to install a "codec" that would recognize that format. I
happened to have a copy of powerDVD and got that installed on the server.
Now when I go to convert a file, it stops at 17% of the second pass
(whatever that means) and says it will take over a day to complete the
conversion. I let it run overnight and it stayed at exactly 17%.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Help!
