As many of you know, I have been traveling lately. At times I have the need to work with my machine here in Hawaii even though I may be in Florida. I would like to use cometAnywhere but it does not matter what application; the problem is that I do not have a static IP address. I am using Road Runner and it is a DHCP configured address.

The solution to this problem is what is called an IP Poster. It is a web site that records your IP address periodically, and then spits it back again to anyone who needs it.

I decided to write an IP Poster in XAP, and put it up on signature.net and share it with you. It just shows what a nice easy product XAP is. It took me about 2 hours to complete this program including its lead-in web page.

I admit, it does not look very pretty, but it accomplishes exactly what I needed. Have a look at it, at the address below.
