There are some tricky programs out there that try to harvest email addresses from web pages. These go into SPAM lists etc. I suggest that if you do not want this, you should modify your email address by adding NO to the beginning of your domain name like this:
My email address is jim@signature.net
I would post my email address as jim@NOsignature.net
This email address would be rejected at the smtp level, but a legitimate user of the forum could be told to strip out the NO.
