Jim,As discussed ths morning, I have one site out of 9 that are to all intents identical that runs like a dog. To open the 50 odd files can take up to 30 seconds. Running Test4 for 100 iterations of 10 took 50 seconds. I have taken the server out of the network and it is still that slow. It is a reasonably powerful P4 (xp pro), however the lowliest Celeron workstation, set up the same takes about the same time. I put my single user plug on the Celeron and configured "C" type drives and 1000 iterations of 100 took 50 secs.
My question is, is that an accurate reflection of what will happen if I buy CS32 for that site ?
