Winsock error 10022 loading Comet

We are attempting to run Comet 2004 build 331 on a new Win XP (sp 2)
workstation and are receiving an error upon loading Cosw.exe.

The message is:
CosH Network Error (Winsock)
Error: 10022 - Invalid argument
Target: 10.0.0.1
Function: Connecting Comet Security Server using TCP/IP.

The drive paths are mapped correctly and the icon path is set to load
COSW.exe /PN=W09 from the ini file.

I have a Win XP laptop with the same settings and version of Winsock. The
TCP/IP protocol and client for Windows is installed as well.
