Power Users (owners, managers, etc) are going to start buying the 64bit PC's with the 64bit O/S. Reminds me of the Windows ME incompatability problem. Thankfully, the users didn't like ME and didn't mind switching to Win98se.
MS, Intel, and AMD are pushing 64bit too. For instance, I just received 10 64bit XP licenses from MS as part of my Action Pack Subscription. Haven't bought the 64bit PC yet. It will be my next upgrade. Maybe have two dual VGA cards to support four screens.
