We have this setup on our server. We also had the same issues as you and with Barbara's help we came up with this senario.
N01 is configured as an IP and is used as the security server.
N02 is configured as a DNS and is used as the CFAM server.
The security server did not like multi IP's (or DNS w/ multi IP's), so we split security and CFAM. Either way, with almost 100 users there is so little overhead on the network, one NIC would of been fine.
