Comet Security Server w/ 2 Nic's

What happens when a CometServer has 2 nics with 2 ip addresses. I have just come upon an installation where this is the case and security sever rejects connections one one and accepts them on the other. Unfortuately it's doing the opposite of what I would like it to do if only 1 nic connection is allowed.
