The record size for text files on type S directories was limited to 1024 bytes because of buffering limitations.
CFAM has extended that limit to 8000 bytes.
To create a text file, use the following syntax:
CREATE file$, DIR=dir$, [EXCP=excp]
Record size is variable within the limit as stated above.
