Attempting to move the Security Server from a Windows 98 machine to a Windows XP machine. Going from a 3 User network environment to a Single User environment.

Using a Security Dongle.

Downloaded and installed Comet NT Drivers. NTDRV100.exe

After launching security server (Version??) successfully with proper #licenses tried to launch Comet 98, Ver 293 and got the following error message: Unable to Locate Kernel Mode Drivers.

Ok, so....Familiar error, followed instructions from previous postings.

Install CometServerProducts505.exe.

Got the following error message:

Setup has finished copying files to you computer. Before you can use the program you must restart windows.

Click finish to complete setup.

Error - Installation Failed. OK.

Comet '98, Version 293.

CSECSRV, Version 4.11

OK, so did a search on files and folders and removed the following:

Cometvdm.sys
Cometvdd.dll
Cometkmd.sys

The above was suggested on a previous posting.

Still get the same error. Plus now the security server can no longer find the comet key.

Help Please.
