The new dirbuild as part of the comet explorer is great, the QDIR's are reduced by a DRAMATIC amount if you have a large legacy system. My QDIR's went from 9-17MB down to 20-50KB.

I am suggesting the following enhancments.

1. When dirbuild goes on it's merry way to populate the directory list dialog, there is no indicator. You have to trust that it is doing it's thing. I would suggest that the dialog first appears with the option to SCAN and the list box shows the progress.

2. You should be able to filter the list to only display errors and then you should be able to easily change the type on each line vs. going through a subsequant "Update File Properties" dialog. (i.e. move the pulldown for file type/action to the list dialog)

3. The list box above should show DOS create/modified date and file size.

4. An option for "Delete" file should be added. This was a great excercise to help clean up the directory that contained non-comet files. The only problem was I had to sit in Windows Explorer as well deleting the files that were trash after each time I did ignore.

5. In the "Update File Properties" (which I suggest goes away), I don't understand the differance between "Skip This File" and "Ignore" in the type pull down.
