The current automatic CA update process was introduced with REL0502 and Comet .347. In order for it to work, you must have:
1) A TMP dir configured using the $(CATEMP) alias.
2) The standard security QMONITOR.
3) Minimum versions of REL and Comet specified above.
The automatic update can be turned on or off by running CAUPD from any workstation that has access to the QMONITOR password directory. If the automatic update is turned off, clients can do manual updates by running CAUPD. They do not need access to the password directory for this.
