i was having trouble not so much with the long filename as the spaces in the path.
the keyfile was "c:\documents and settings\justinr\desktop\whatever.txt".
comet shows the correct arguments in the 'details' screen:
Using Parameters: /pn=NODE_17 /keyfile="c:\documents and settings\justinr\desktop\whatever.txt" /WD="F:\Comet"
but throws up a message box, "the specified keyfile could not be opened (2). file: c:\documents"
it's done this for awhile; i usually just use the 8.3 version ('c:\docume~1\' for example).
