One more bit of information about this error, XAP loads and listens on both servers. The Log On Page displays when it is called. The Members name is displayed after a successful log on and a list of options are displayed for selection. Clicking on any of these options causes the error.
Fortunately, I made copies of Comet 2005 and the Comet Services Directory associated with 2005. In the Windows 2003 server I rolled back to Comet 2005 and the associated Comet Services Directory. The application does not error out under 2005.
