Could you post up the Comet.INI and COSW.INI files?

What's the mix of workstation OS's? Other 98's?

On the sharing PC what's the share name and do you have drivers for all the OS's that will be using the printer. See attached screen shot.

Went and looked at my only customer with Win98se workstations. The global section of the Comet.INI has ...

[PRINTERS]

Printer = LP1,W ,N, ,LP1_ACCT:RAW,FFCLOSE,;
Printer = LP2,W ,N, ,LP2_QUOTES;

LP1 is their 600LPM greenbar printer. LP2 is a HP2100 on a print server. A few of their nodes are running Win2000 and are OK when they print to LP2. They don't have any XP workstations.

If memory serves, the first customer that got a XP in an 98se network needed to have a separate [PRINTERS] section added to their node using the UNC nomemclature. The exception was for a locally connected printer where the old style still worked.
