Comet As Service-Exit Behavior

Comet as a service IPL behavior.

The behavior of Comet when exiting (DOS at a READY or x the window) is different when Comet is run as a service vs. Comet run as an application. I prefer the behavior of Comet As a Service with one exception….

When Comet is not run as a service and you type DOS at the ready in the “Primary” session, the monitor checks to see if other partitions are active. If no other partitions are active Comet closes all the open sessions. If another partition is active with anything but the monitor you get a screen telling you that the other sessions are active.

When Comet is run as a Service and you type DOS in the primary session and no other partitions are active, only the primary session will close. If something is active in another partition you get the warning as stated above.

I would prefer when Comet is run as a service to exit as you are doing but to eliminate the check of the other partitions. There are many times that I want comet to exit the session only and not interrogate the other partitions. This is especially true on my machines that run automated, repetitive tasks.

Can we remove the check of other partitions when Comet is a service?
