I just tried to duplicate this problem. I copied the command line from your post to the first line of emailptr.ibs. The UE output window showed me the following....

I have seen errors such as this caused by having a folder named the same as the object file. This causes the compiler to fail to compile correctly. As you can see, the compile tried to do the right thing.
What does your UE output window show?
