Good call. I have IMF installed as a SPAM filter. But, it just keeps getting weirder.

IMF issues a SPAM level and %. I block everything from 5 and up. About 60%. My puny little test was getting level 6 (75%). I tried changing the body text. +/- a few %. I tried changing from my full page report to a 3 line test. +/- a few %.

Since I was using simple addressing, grant@mycompany.com, I tried all the other variations. They all came back invalid or rejected. Even the hardcoded ones with the double @.

How about athentication? I have anonymous, any domain user, and any computer set up in Exchange and the LOG file shows "no auth needed". Maybe I'll add User/Password anyway. email.ini says you can do Print (LUN) all all of these setting. But no, compiler doesn't like "(User =" or "(Password =".

Now the weird parts.

At the end of the EMAIL.INI section is an example close to the email.ini I'd be using. I noticed that instead of a CC, a BCC is used. I changed my test and now IMF allows the email to go through.

Feeling brave and wanting to forge ahead I decided to sent a test to my hotmail account. Went fine, no errors at this end. Nothing shows up at hotmail. Checked Exchange. Nothing stuck in the outgoing queue. Froze the hotmail connector, sent another test, and the email showed up in the connector. I unfroze the connector and the email went out. None of the tests have made it to my hotmail account.

When does the "Virtually ANY program can become email savvy with little effort." part start?
