The debate between using Registry or INI has been going on for a long time.

And now DOTNET adds a new twist.
When becoming familiar with DOTNET (and this is still all I am... familiar) a while back I was reseaching this.

I believe the "best practice" these days are to use neither registry or INI files.
Sounds like today, application settings in XML files are the way to go.

I've not written any multi-threaded apps.

In any case I'd vote against using the registry without
doing a little more research first.
