I agree with you, but the current implementation of the D00 file (using the long report generator name) could not work for Comet runtime. The D00 information should (must) be located as part of the physical file itself. That way, when something changes, the runtime could easily re gen its references, and adapt to the change. As the D00 is defined now, the Comet runtime would have no connection to the D00 file.
I think at this time, we should revert to a #cfiles approach. In the future, I hope to implement exactly what you specified.
