You know, we're actually having a similar problem, but I believe its tied to a bad switch. Every once in a while, most of the office will lose their connection. But about a dozen clients do not -- ones that are connected to a different switch. I reread your original post, and I'm curious... are all your machines connected to one switch, or one NIC on the server? If you have more than one NIC, you may want to try connecting to the other one. If you only have one, consider wedging a 8 port switch between your NIC and your switch. Take 4 or 5 clients off the existing switch, and plug em in the 8 porter. Next time you lose your connection, see if it happens for everyone, or if the people on the 8 port stay running. That may be interesting. Also, check your DNS settings on the server. Sometimes, things get inadvertently misconfigured, and DNS requests start flaking out, which could cause the problem you're having not being able to reconnect to the UNC name, if thats what your using. If you have everything configured with IP addresses for the Comet server, then that shouldnt be affecting it. Just a couple more ideas for you. Good Luck.
