Your COSW.INI file should be located in the "All User's\Application Data\Signature Systems" folder, "C:\Windows" folder or "C:\WINNT" folder. All of which are normally (but not always) established on the system drive "C:". All Comet user's should have read/write access to that folder.
Comet shortcuts should work fine with network paths, therefore drive mapping should not be necessary.
