Stop all this pain and get RemoteAdmin (3.0 is current version). It installs as a service and you get control of the whole computer (works with Win9x, Win2k, and Xp. Yes, it also has a really fast file transfer feature. I've got over a dozen installations and it works like a charm. Been using it for over five years now. Cost is about $49us/per license (or $45 Canadian he he). www.radmin.com is the site and there is a 30 day trail period. FYI..it uses a single tcp port 4899, but this can be changed in the server side settings. It's supper easy to use and I've even had office staff people on site do the installation for me. It's like being there (ie. not like the vnc's, pcanywhere or even remote desktops. It's just like vnc or pcAnywhere as you are like being there, not like remote desktop.
