Comet Encryption.

One of my client process CreditCards and pre-authorised bank payments. They are now required to be PCI compliant. That means that there's very long list of things that need to be done to secure the CreditCard data nad implement tons of procedures and safety policies.

One of the requirements is that CreditCard data be stored encrypted. Minimum 128bits encryption, 192bits recommended and 256bits the best.

So I was wondering what kind of encryption is incorporated in Comet. Is it a recognised encryption algorithm or just a home-grown encrypter?

Would it be possible to incorporate something like the AES or DES Encryption routine?

I keep getting asked by my security vendor if Comet can "talk" to Windows... I asked a little ago because one CreditCard processor from UK provided me with a encryption algorithm that was in VB and never found how tomake it talk to Comet. I needed then to encrypt one field only inside each record.

So what can we do?
