Just for kicks, let's think idle means the program does not change ip addresses for some length of time. This means that the program is most likely in an input statement.

By Program.. do you mean the CA program or the application program running? Not sure of the relationship of "program" to IP Address.

If a user is sitting in an Order Entry application as opposed to a menu, do we still want to kill the session running order entry? Seems like there needs to be more control than could be done with sysgen.

If you have a mnemonic(or executable) than the application programs could turn it on / off.
Then the killing could be limited to just menus (or other such programs) and would be less dangerous.

The mnemonic would include a time out setting.

The CA program would watch for keyboard/mouse activity and reset the time as soon as any is detected.
If the timer reaches the time out then, would do the EscapeSub.
