You mean DirInit not DirMaint, right? Well, I'm not sure what's wrong. What it's trying to do is open the .cfg file in the "current" directory which should be the one where your Comet shortcut points to (where Comet.exe is). The open attempt is read-only so write access is not the issue. What are you trying to do? CometExplorer provides most of these functions.
