When you say "terminals" do you mean CometAnywhere clients? When you say "console" do you mean qmonitor or utilities on the CometAnywhere host?
I am having a difficult time understanding whether you mean the Comet server console and Comet Workstations or a CometAnywhere situation.
If it is CometAnywhere, yes, the Comet host (COSC.EXE) will see a new IP address representing a new connection. It may take some long period of time before the CometAnywhere client's absence is detected. You may want to kill those partitions manually.
