Bwanna Jim is off to find enlightenment. I am violating a confidence by making public his agreement to add support for CSV files to Comet when he returns (in a more enlightened state of being).
HOWEVER, in his present state, pre-enlightenment, he is planning to build this function as HE sees fit. And I quote:
==============================================================
I am thinking of using the following specifications as a guide...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma-separated_values
http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4180
http://www.creativyst.com/Doc/Articles/CSV/CSV01.htm
Within Comet, If the file is a text file with the extension of ".CSV", we will apply the csv formatting conventions, for all read and write operations
==============================================================
I am asking all youse guys and gals out there in Comet land: what do you want? Do you want/need support for other separators? Tabs? Semi-colons? How about header lines -vs- no header lines? Line feeds and CRLF line terminators?
Speak now or forever hold your peace!
