Am attempting to write a program that will purge a spooler based on the date of the spool files.
I will not have direct access to the spooler directory via windows.
I know this will involve deleting a job record from the XXXJOBS file and deleting the actual JOB file ########.XXX.
I know the actual job file is not in the comet directory structure, so I cannot use the Comet Erase command to erase statement to erase it.
Possibly I could use the EraseFile mnemonic, however, it can only be used in a Foreground program, and as a utility, it may be nice to be able to activate the program in background
The ERASE DOS file, would work from a backgound, but requires direct access to the files.
Am I missing somethimg? Are there any other options?
Right now guess it will have to be a foreground only utility.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
