Copyfile to Anywhere Client

I thought that the Copyfile using the directory alias on a comet anywhere client was smart enough to put the file on the client machine.

I have a directory alias set up as LOC on the client that points to a local folder c:\comet\local, I execute a copyfile to $(LOC) and get a 22/3 Destination File Error/Path Not Found:

Copy Failed of C:\COMET\EBW\OSUM.TXT To $(LOC)\OSUM.TXT
Copy Failed, Function Error: 22-Destination file error (see suberrors)
FileError: 3-Path not found

What am I doing wrong, what if anything does the host machine need to know? I need a seamless way of delivering data to the remote client machine.
