As I said, That program is NOT general, BUT the subroutine is. create the file as a comet sequential file with 1024 byte records. Read the records into that array and call the subroutine. It will make a text file with each XML clause in its own record. Then process from there. Or, just process each xap clause as they are parsed out. The only thing this illustrates is a much better performing technique than processing one byte at a time.
Of course, the Comet32 technique of reading the ENTIRE file into a SINGLE string would be much better.
