We already host the security server on a stand-alone machine. We are looking at the option of virtualizing our Comet enviornment in a Managed Service Provider (MSP). Initially the response was that they will not allow anything to "hang" off the machines. In fact they may be vertualized in a cluster. Signature is the last of the vendors that we have that use a hardware key. Loftware that was also stuck on this approach has even eliminated it in favor of a software based solution.

Why do you need to poll the security server so often. Is there a way to simply cut down on demand of the server so remotely hosting it would be a viable option?
