As per your comment "You would NEVER apply this in the real world because of security.", allow me disagree. Once you drown yourself into Internet Security, Firewall rules, IP address filtering and sessions-signon you will see that Yes! you can use this in the real world.
As far as security, I'd rather give someone a single XAP page to work with than give them an CometAnywhere with much more access to the internal system. My larger client uses a XAP page for temp overload in the data entry department. It is fast and works great !
