Two comments:
1- I am recommending the directory search in ULTRAEDIT not M$. I code in UE, so there is no need to minimize the code window, click on start, click on search, navigate, yada yada yada....
2- I have to assume (you did not say) that the result you got was an explorer list. Did you ask for a list sorted by filename? Or by size? Or date created? Or date modified?
3- If Comet gave us a FAST search, I for one, would not care about the order of the resulting table.
