Only the primary key is guaranteed to be unique in a multi-keyed file. Thus there will only be one record in the file with a particular primary key value. There may be many records with the same value in a secondary key. In your example of the product code and color I'm guessing there are many products with the same product code and many products with the same color code. They are distinguished by the primary key, perhaps the product id? If you set up a secondary key by product code you'll get a key tree that essentially sorts the file only by product code. If you set up a secondary key by color code you'll get a key tree that sorts the file by color code. Hope this helps.
