How do you know when to assign a gateway as global or local?
If global:
Does one gateway now apply to all nodes?
Does this remove 64K from the server if a sort gateway?
If more than one sort gateway is 64K removed for each?
Is the TOTAL number of partitions affected?
Is one removed for each sort gateway?
Do the above apply to all types of gateways?
What assignment order is given (G00, G01...) if global, node or both?
If node:
Does this remove 64K from the server or the PC if a sort gateway?
If more than one sort gateway is 64K removed for each?
If RPG is run in more than one partition on a node should multiple gateways be configured?
The more sort gateways the better?
We have 105 Employees using between 5 and 10 partitions each (600 partitions total).
Additionally we have 50 partitions setup for CometAnywhere.
So you can see, as we grow, unique partitions/Terms are becoming a problem. I know that
they do not need to be unique but we use them to create unique file names.
It would be nice if the INI file was not compiled, or could use "USE/INCLUDE" statements.
Or compile one node at a time.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
