I could be mistaken, but I think the necessary ESC codes for each printer is different. The 600 LPM Printrix we use has instructions as to what code is necessary to print the postnet barcode.
On our HP9000 printer, we discovered we had to order and install a Postnet Plug-in card from HP and then put the necessary ESC codes plus calculation based on the Zip Code variable in the source code.
The length of the variable for the bar codes was different for the two printers.
If any one does have PostNet Barcodes for standard low end PCL printers, would be interesded so could use our slower HP printers for a backup in case of failure of the HP9000 (50PPM).
