Barbara,

XP is running on a Dell Labtop and Vista is running on a HP Core2 Quad as a single user system. I assume the drivers are up to date. Prog. CbUsb.exe detects the USB Dongle and also recognises when it is not plugged in.
I have found a way of getting past the problem by doing the following:
1) Boot system without dongle plugged in.
2) Plug in dongle after system is running.
3) EXIT Comet Security Server (Note: No license verification)
4) EXIT Comet Database Server Console
5) Run SecSrvUI.exe (Note: No licenece verification)
6) Run FileSrvUI.exe
7) Run CsecSrv.exe (Create Pipe failed 231 error message appears. OK this.)
8) Run Comet from shortcut and Bingo, the Monitor appears and I can run my Comet programs
If I remove the dongle after thie the system will recognise this.
