any restrictions on data in #?

Had a FORMAT with

PARM.FMT FORMAT RC$,AMT1,AMT2,AMT3

which was being used to pass data between programs. All other lists like this (in our system) have only string variables (Printer names, RETURN CODES, etc...)

Here, IB/MTB complained about AMT1 (but not the others) with a compile error of 3.

I could convert it to a string and pass it that way, but was curious if anybody's encountered a problem like this.

P.S. Also apologising to all, if this is a problem that has been, in fact, "fixed in the next release", since I'm probably behind on releases.
