The "All Users" COSW.INI location is a problem when you have multiple Comet users who use the same PC. For instance, one of my customers no longer has a full time receptionist. About 4-5 users take turns during the day manning the receptionist desk. While there, they do their daily Comet work. Each wants to use their home profile.
But, COSW.INI has the \Temp and \Temp\CAFiles that are user specific. 2nd user gets to log into the PC gets path errors from Comet.
And, in Vista, the COSW.INI is in C:\ProgramData\Signature. The \Temp paths are C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp.
It's still messy to install Comet for this type of situation.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
