CFILES for Dummies

Hey folks. We're new here and have inherited work on a Comet-based system. Excuse me if I violate any rules of the forum, we've been lurking for a few weeks but may have not picked up the etiquette.

So far things have gone pretty well. Thanks to help from this board and some of its denizens (who shall remain anonymous) we have a fully configured proto-IDE in UE, we're successfully compiling and are getting a decent understanding of IB.

But we've run into some platform issues. In particular it seems like suddenly all of our multi-keyed files are misbehaving. In particular #CFILES is a problem.

When looking at #CFILES in Comet Explorer using Maintenance we get this error "Sector Control Offset Too Large > 1024." When we look at other multi-keyed files in Comet Explorer we see zero for the number of keys processed, but when we use "Delete Chain Verify" it does find the records that we know are in the file.

I suspect there might be more than one cause for the multi-keyed file errors, but would be interested in any help.

Thanks and we're looking forward to participating in the Comet community.
